Die Wirksamkeit der Akupunktur begründet sich in der therapeutischen Arbeit mit dem Qi. Um das wirksam zu tun, müssen wir nicht nur mit unseren Ohren auf das hören, was unsere Patient*innen sagen, sondern es auch mit unseren Händen erspüren.
Obwohl Pulstastung, wie auch abdominelle Diagnose, Markenzeichen der manuellen Diagnose in der Ostasiatischen Medizin sind, repräsentieren sie doch nur einen Teil der möglichen Informationen.
Die Erfahrung der Dozent*innen bei palpatorischen Techniken der Osteopathie werden hier genutzt um mit den unterschiedlichen Aspekten des Qi´s in der Chinesischen Medizin in Kontakt zu kommen.
Sie werden praktisch üben
• die Punkte aufzufinden, die sich für eine Behandlung anbieten und sie genau zu lokalisieren
• zu erspüren, ob die Behandlung eine klinische Veränderung erzielt hat
• das Prinzip der absichtslosen Handlung (wu wei) in der Praxis einzusetzen
Die Techniken ermöglichen es Ihnen, flüssiger auf die Bedürfnisse des Qi’s Ihrer Patient*innen einzugehen und so in einem echten Dialog zu treten. Sie sind von ihrer Art her in erster Linie diagnostisch und lassen sich leicht in jeden Akupunkturstil einbauen.
An den ersten 2 Wochenenden werden die Grundlagen des Palpierens erlernt. Am 3. Wochenende wird gezeigt wie diese diagnostischen Mittel Ihr Verständnis der Außergewöhnlichen Gefäße vertiefen und Ihre Fähigkeiten sie zu nutzen verbessern können.
Teilnahmevoraussetzungen: Grundausbildung in TCM
Ferdinand Beck ist Heilpraktiker und Taijiquan-Lehrer. Zunächst absolvierte er über acht Jahre ein Medizinstudium mit Schwerpunkt Akupunktur an der Universität für TCM in Chengdu, (China), inkl. zwei Jahre Praktikum an der dortigen Universitätsklinik. Später Grundausbildung und Advanced Training in Toyohari-Akupunktur, vielfältige Kurse und Assistenz bei Dan Bensky und Charles Chace, sowie Ausbildung in viszeraler Manipulation bei Jean-Pierre Barral u.a.
Rayén Antón lebt derzeit in Barcelona, wo sie ihre 2003 ihre Zertifizierung als Akupunkturtherapeutin erhielt. 2004 erlernte sie die japanische Akupunktur nach Manaka und lernte auch Keiraku Chyrio. 2006 beendete sie ihre Tuina und ein Jahr später ihre Toyohari Ausbildung. Seit 2011 beschäftigt sie sich mit der “Engaging Vitality” Methode, unterrichtet von Charles Chace.
Kurssprache ist Englisch. Grundkenntnisse in Englisch erforderlich, Fragen können auf Deutsch und Spanisch gestellt werden.
Auch dieses Jahr bieten wir wieder einen Review Tag direkt im Anschluß an das lettzte Modul an um Erlerntes zu vertiefen und um sich mit ausgewählten Fragen der Teilnehmenden zu beschäftigen. Der Review Tag findet am 24 Juni statt.

Engaging Vitality – A Palpation-Based Approach to More Effectively Work with Qi in the Clinic (Module I-III)
Efficacy in acupuncture is grounded in a therapeutic engagement with qi. Doing this well requires not only carefully listening to patients with our ears, but also with our hands. Although pulse and abdominal diagnosis are hallmarks of manual diagnosis in East Asian medicine, they represent just a fraction of the information available. This three-weekend training will enhance your ability to more directly perceive and make use of qi in your practice.
How Is This Program Applicable To Your Practice?
Using the palpatory sensibilities and vocabulary of osteopathy, participants will be introduced to tangible palpatory referents for different aspects of qi, including:
• How to directly feel which points are most available for treatment and their precise locations
• How to feel whether your treatments have produced a clinically meaningful change
• How to use of the principle of effortless action (wu wei) in your practice
Techniques such as these allow us to respond more fluidly to the requirements of our patients’ qi in a true dialogue. They are primarily diagnostic in nature and are readily integrated with nearly any style of acupuncture. They provide a means for the fundamental concepts of East Asian medicine to come to life in our hands.
Participants will learn the basics of this palpation approach in the first two weekends. In the third weekend, it will be demonstrated how these diagnostic aids can deepen our understanding and improve our ability to use the extraordinary vessels.
Prerequisites for participation: Basic training in TCM
Ferdinand Beck is a naturopath and Taijiquan teacher. First, he completed eight years of medical studies with a focus on acupuncture at the University of TCM in Chengdu, PR China. This also included a two-year internship at the university clinic there. Later basic and advanced training in Toyohari acupuncture, various courses and assistance with Dan Bensky and Charles Chace, as well as training in visceral manipulation with Jean-Pierre Barral and others.
Rayén Antón currently lives in Barcelona, where she received her certification as acupuncture therapist in 2003. In 2004, she learned Japanese acupuncture Manaka style and also learned with Keiraku Chyrio. In 2006 she finished her Tuina and a year later her Toyohari training. Since 2011 she has been working on the „Engaging Vitality“ method, taught by Charles Chace.
Course language is English. Basic knowledge of English required, questions can be asked in German and Spanish.
Also this year we offer a review class to deepen the knowledge from the course and answer questions from the participants to selected questions of interest. The review class will take place directly after the third module on june 24th.
